29, 30, 31 – The Smoothie Challenge Is Steaming Ahead!

With minimal access to the Internet, nothing but a couple of mugs and some sleeping bags in our new flat and a lot to do over the last week, posts have been suffering! That doesn’t mean we haven’t been working on them though. To make up for it, here’s a triple whammy smoothie install for you…
Day 29 : Forest

Out of necessity, this was made with mostly fruit that didn’t need chopping, but ended up being delicious anyway! Packed with berries, the Smoothie is really high in antioxidants and the currants make the flavour really zingy.

You’ll need:

1 cup frozen mango

1/2 cup blackberries

1/2 cup frozen mixed berries- mine had a mix of strawberries, blackberries, black currants, red currants and raspberries

Seeds from 1/2 pomegranate

2 cups water
Day 30 : Wagamama’s “Super Green”

This juice is made up of apple, mint, celery and lime. It’s really refreshing and works well with Japanese food. The lime and mint naturally freshen breath so it’s great after something garlicky too!
Day 31 : Mellow Yellow

Super simple and wonderful for a Saturday morning, this rich, yellow smoothie is made from mango, banana and lime. It’s perfect alongside a healthy breakfast. Enough said!

You’ll need:

1 banana

1 cup frozen mango

Juice 1/2 lime

1.5 cups water
